Interior Design

  • We begin by understanding your vision; how you live, what inspires you, and what you want to feel in your space. This conversation forms the foundation for a thoughtful, cohesive design direction.

  • We refine the layout to ensure flow, functionality, and proportion. This sets the foundation for the interior concept and how each space will be experienced.

  • Mood boards, material samples, and key design elements come together to define the look and feel of your project. This is where the tone, texture, and atmosphere of your future home is captured.

  • We curate a selection of fixtures and fittings that complement your design vision, and budget, including bathroom fixtures, tapware, appliances, lighting and hardware details.

  • We translate the concept into precise documentation. All elements are documented and detailed for accurate pricing and construction. We coordinate drawings and specifications to ensure the design intent is carried through seamlessly.

  • A full set of documents including detailed drawings, schedules, mood boards and renders are issue for tender and construction.

  • We remain available during the build to answer questions, review finishes on site, ensuring the design integrity is maintained and the final result reflects the vision.

Architecture

PLANNING

  • We will conduct a site visit to document and understand the existing conditions, allowing us to prepare accurate base drawings that form a reliable foundation for design development.

  • Translate the project brief into concept plans that explore layout, spatial flow, and form. This phase balances client needs, site conditions, and any council requirements to establish the preferred design direction.

  • Develop and detail the planning documentation for council submission. These documents demonstrate design intent, setbacks, heights, and building form in line with the client brief and Council requirements.

  • Domina Vir Architects & Interiors coordinates the formal planning submission to council, monitors the application’s progress, and responds to any Requests for Further Information as required.

BUILDING

  • Domina Vir will refine the approved planning drawings, finalise layouts, and integrate any minor feedback from council. This ensures all building elements; structure, window openings, roof forms, ceiling heights, and service zones, are resolved before documentation begins. At this point, we also confirm appliance and tapware locations to ensure alignment between architectural and interior elements for a seamless overall design.

  • A full set of detailed working drawings will be produced to communicate every aspect of the design to builders, consultants, and the building surveyor.

  • Domina Vir will coordinate directly with required consultants to ensure the documentation set is complete and compliant. Typical consultants include the structural engineer, energy assessor, and building surveyor.

  • Domina Vir will manage the building-permit submission process and liaise with the building surveyor as required until approval is granted.
